Hookers

That's what I call the damn deer. They reached under some wire to eat my Palafoxia Hookeriana.

Standing Cypress

Ipomopsis Rubra. Texas native. Not exactly drought or deer resistant, but lovely when it graces the garden. Bees, butterflies and humming birds like this flower.

Mexican Oregano

Poliomintha bustamonte. If you look up Mexican oregano you will typically find a photo of an oregano plant with white blossoms. This is the most common type of Mexican oregano in central Texas. This particular variety is drought tolerant and deer resistant. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds love this herb. A little goes a long way and adds a flavor subtly different than regular oregano - better in my opinion.
